At the Charity for Balkan Children, our mission is to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children across the Balkan region.
We are excited to share our latest project, our first initiative in Montenegro.
On December 12, 2024, the elementary school JU OŠ Vuk Karadžić in Berane received five wheelchair-accessible tables as a donation from our organization.
About JU OŠ Vuk Karadžić
Located at Đačka ulica, bb, Berane, Montenegro, JU OŠ Vuk Karadžić is an educational institution committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
The school serves 1,027 students, supported by a dedicated team of 120 employees. With nine grades and a focus on inclusive education, the school accommodates two students with disabilities and 14 students in integrated classes.
The Need for Wheelchair-Accessible Tables
Our journey to support JU OŠ Vuk Karadžić began when we connected with a passionate teacher from the school. During our discussions, she highlighted the need for wheelchair-accessible tables to enhance the learning experience for students with disabilities.
Recognizing this critical requirement, we committed to providing the necessary resources to ensure all students have equal opportunities to succeed.
